 TURN TO GOD Daniel  9:3 After learning from reading the word of God as it had been revealed to Prophet Jeremiah earlier that Jerusalem had to lie desolate for seventy years.  Daniel turned to God and begged for mercy in prayer and fasting.  He also wore burlaps and sprinkled himself with ashes which served as a sign for the sacrifice of a broken spirit.  If we look at Daniel’s prayer, he confessed the sins of his nation, the sins of his forefathers.  His prayer is full of humbleness and humility.  And we know from the teachings that God gives grace to humble.
