EVERYONE MATTERS
Everyone Matters
1 Samuel 30:11-12
[11]They found an Egyptian in a field and brought him to David. They gave him water to drink and food to eat—
[12]part of a cake of pressed figs and two cakes of raisins. He ate and was revived, for he had not eaten any food or drunk any water for three days and three nights.
Everybody matters in life. When David and his 600 men returned to Zigleg on finding it plundered and in ruins with all their families taken away by Amalekites. David enquired of the Lord whether to pursue the raiders and the Lord answered, pursue, you will overtake and recover all. On his way David met an Egyptian young man, after showing mercy and kindness upon the young man it turned out he had information that would lead them to the camp of the Amalekites where David and his men were able to recover all that were plundered by the Amalekites including their wives and children.
If we could learn to take everyone as of importance in life, to be merciful and kind to others this world would be so much better. At times we tend to focus too much on what we are looking for so much that we ignore people that seem of less importance because of their current state, be it appearance or networth, possessions, size, level of education etc. Selflessness can lead you to what you are looking for, make everyone matter for once and you will see a miracle you that will dumbfold you.
A mad man knows something you don't know but due to his mental state even if he were to tell you, you wouldn't take it serious. A homeless knows something that might lead you to what you are looking for, something that is of no value to him but matters the most to you, but due to his current state of life, you wouldn't bother to listen even if he were to tell you, let alone to stop by and make some time to help the needy and get to know him/her.
Let us learn to make everyone matter in our lives. David took his time to nurse a stranger, an abandoned slave who was about to die of hunger in return he recovered the most important assets of his life. A slave was regarded as worthless after he had fallen sick but David-a man after the heart of God, saw importance in his life which in turn worked to his favour....
To conclude, make everyone matter with a clear mind that in this world everything works together for good.
