BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

By now during this lockdown, many people who don't fellowship wish they could be in the house of God, but they can't.

Acts 1:14
They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Mary, Jesus' mother and His brothers started to fellowship after His promotion to glory.
Earlier in the scriptures we find them coming in the middle of the message, demanding to speak with Jesus, where He tells them, His mother and brothers are the ones  who were with Him listening to His message.

But this time we learn they remained together in fellowship with Jesus' disciples in the book of Acts.   And we are told John 19:25-27   Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple,“Here is your mother."
When Jesus was on the cross, Mary Jesus' mother and her sister stood next His cross, when Jesus saw them He looked at His mother and said, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple,“Here is your mother.”   I can imagine the pain in Mary's heart in that moment. The whole time she wasn't with her Son until the time she had to see Him die a painful death as she watched helplessly.  All disciples were in hiding except one who later took Mary to his home and other women.  Women I salute you, for your unshaken courage and valour.

But do not be like Mary who only gave attention to Jesus the day of His promotion to glory. She should have been the first one to believe in Jesus Christ.  Considering the fact that Mary was the first person to know about the coming of Jesus, she spoke with the angel long before Jesus was to be born.

The issue of her presence in the last hour was more because of her inner conviction because of what she should have done long time.  In the process she could have lost her life as well should they wanted to eradicate His entire family.

Lesson to learn:
Jesus' mother and His brother began to fellowship after His promotion to glory.

General:
Love and appreciate them while you still have them, do not wait until they are gone. But press on and love them even in their absence.  It is never too late to make it right in life though you may not undo what is done, with God of second chances everything is possible.

Be in fellowship with Holy Spirit now, while He is available, "seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He is nearer"( Isaiah 55:6).

Prayer:
May the good Lord be merciful on you and receive you in times of distress in Jesus name

May the Spirit of God remind you how much you need His fellowship no matter your situation, in Jesus name

May you receive the anointing to seek and find the Lord in Jesus name

May all your chains and bondages be broken in the name of Jesus Christ.

May your heart be prepared to receive the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

To receive: Say " Amen!"
