Stay At Jericho
Remain(Stay)At Jericho
2 Samuel 10:4.
So Hanun seized David’s envoys, shaved off half of each man’s beard, cut off their garments at the buttocks, and sent them away.
When David was told about this, he sent messengers to meet the men, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, “Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back.
I remember Lydia once shared this story one Wednesday night prayer.
I want to tell you child of God, today you may be in a similar situation, dropped to zero because of the position you were in, but Hanun and the Ammonites did not think of what will happen when your beard grows again. "Yes" It gave them pleasure to half shave your beard and to cut your garments at the buttocks so you will be disgraced and humiliated in public. However, child of God,
Remain(Stay) At Jericho until your beard has grown again then you can come.
These are moments where it seems like time is at rest but in actual fact it isn't, time is going and every second that passes by, your beard is growing, it's a pity you can't see it. Hang in there, that situation will soon be over in the right time.
By the time Hanun discovered the mistake he had made, it was too late, irreversible damage had already been done, it shall be so to your Hanun and his troops.
*Judges 16:22*
But before long his(Samson)hair began to grow back.
I guarantee you, by divine power, the Philistines had forgot to monitor growth of Samson's hair, as naturally one would.
I declare it shall be so to you, your enemies will forget to monitor the growth of your progress until you have regained your strength.
These uncircumcised Philistines may have succeeded to cut your hair and to gauge your eyes out, but it's not over with you, the Lord who chose you when you didn't even know Him, is with you as long as you remain in your rightful position, for it is written in
*Deut.31:6*
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
I decree upon ypur life, in Jesus' name, Hanun may have succeeded in humiliating you, but the best part is he failed to kill you when he had the chance and now the King says, *Remain At Jericho* where you will be secured till your beard grows back again. That will be your turn to retaliate.
Samson prayed to God as he was in bronze chains in captivity of the Philistines, a mighty warrior forced to parade in dagon's festival and said, *"Sovereign Lord, remember me again, Oh Lord please strengthen me just one more time, with one blow let me pay back these Philistines for the loss of my eyes."*
Prayer
Heavenly Father, by Your Powerful arm, that preserved Israel in the wilderness, may You strengthen me till my hair grows again.
May I regain strength and courage this one last time, so I can pay back the Philistines for the loss of my eyes.
May fear and panic surround the camp of Hanun and all Ammonites for what they have done to me.
May these Philistines be drunk, dizzy and continue to celebrate my pain and forget to monitor the growth of my hair, until I crush them all in one blow, in Jesus Christ's name.
Amen
